Dave Wong is Hanging Tough With a Short Stack

By: Jen Leo – July 13, 2006 | World Series of Poker

Sorry about the earlier confusion. Dave Wong, is on table #156. He's wearing a black Party Poker button down shirt with sunglasses and a brown "Destiny" baseball cap. Ernie, (of Bert and Ernie) is riding an inner tube, down the river on his cards. Dave called me on one break to say he had an avg stack with $51,000.

At dinner he down to $37,000. The first three levels he didn't win a hand, and then he went back to square one. "Nothing too interesting has happened yet. The chips are just moving back and forth," said Wong.

"The games that I am most familiar with [limit and no limit] are actually where I lost some pots, and the games I was least familiar with, I chipped up in."

Also at Wong's table are heavy hitters Chip Reese and Chiau "The game is on!" Giang. But was it? ESPN hovered around their table quite a bit, but Giang seemed to only be capable of losing while the cameras were tuned in, and did his winning after they left.
