Field Shrinks; Money Grows

Play has ended for the day. 135 players remain, with play resuming in about 9 1/2 hours. Day 4 was the day where all the players in the money struggled to survive til Day 5, where payouts begin to increase more dramatically. (Basically we're at the breaking point of an exponential curve.)

So tomorrow is the day where players duke it out for the big money ... the best of whom will live to fight another day for the big-big money.

On the "pro" front, I would also include Prahlad Friedman, WSOP bracelet winner of the 2003 $1500 Pot Limit Hold'em event. He also had a 2nd place finish at the 2005 WSOP Circuit Main Event in Rincon, grossing a nice $361,365. (Just an aside, Chris Ferguson won the Rincon event in 2005)

Prahlad is sitting with 1,558,000 going into Day Five.

Another "pro" I think worth the mention is Dan Schmiech. Schmiech won a WSOP bracelet in the 2005 $5000 Limit Event. He already has two money finishes in the 2006 WSOP.
