*Today's $1500 NLHE event is approaching 3200 players, making it the biggest WSOP event ever outside of the Main Event.
**Tournament Director Jack Effel announced that the Main Event will now have four Day Ones instead of the three previously scheduled and two Day Twos instead of one. This is a purely anticipatory move, actual registrations for the Main Event are now at 2,000 but the WSOP staff are projecting the numbers for the Main and hoping not to be forced to use the various "alternate" seating arrangements in and out of the Amazon Room.
***Because of the added Day One, players will now have at least two days off during the first week of the Main Event. Casino revenue will increase dramatically at the craps tables as a result.
****Because of the added Day One, tournament staff and media will have no days off during the entire two weeks of the Main Event. Casino bar revenues will decrease dramatically as a result.
